Meet Cody Hardley

Licensed Social Worker, trained in EMDR, Certified Spiritual Director, and holds a master’s of Divinity degree

I believe that one of the greatest gifts therapy can offer a person is hope. I understand it can feel threatening and vulnerable to reveal painful parts of your life to another, especially experiences you may have never talked about before. I desire to create a safe and non-judgmental space where openness is welcomed, respected, and empowered. It is a courageous act to pursue hope and healing in a culture full of cynicism.  I will partner with you on the path to the future you desire. I sincerely believe that no matter what has transpired in your life, there is great purpose and meaning for you ahead.

I work primarily with adolescents, adults, and parents. My approach is to help those I meet with grow in a holistic manner, integrating all parts of themselves—past, present, and future—heart, mind, and body—work, play, and rest— in order to feel confidently equipped to handle all aspects of their life.

I frequently work with clients navigating:

  • ADHD

  • anxiety

  • addiction

  • depression

  • sexually unwanted behavior

  • abuse and childhood trauma

  • parent-child connection

  • loneliness and isolation

Finally, if faith and spirituality are important values to you, I also work with many clients on integrating their faith with the issues we are targeting in counseling. I do this primarily through the Christian tradition with the goal of helping you experience greater peace and clarity in navigating our highly polarized society.

Cody is trained in EMDR, which he has found to be an incredible approach for many in healing intensely painful and traumatic experiences dating as far back as their earliest childhood memories. He is also informed in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and trauma-focused CBT.

Cody is a Credentialed Sexually Abusive Youth Clinician (CSAYC). He has worked with youth for over ten years who have engaged in sexually abusive or harmful behaviors, as well as victims of sexual abuse, and their families. This treatment is often court mandated with a target goal of improving public safety and reducing the risk of recurrent behaviors.

Cody holds a master degree from Indiana University School of Social Work and is licensed as an LSW in the state of Indiana. He is pursuing his LCSW licensure and is clinically supervised by Kim Fish, LCSW.

He also has an M.Div and is a certified spiritual director. Cody loves learning, laughing, being pranked, and campfires. He lives with his family in Fort Wayne, IN.
